Matthew 16:5
And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
I have seen “bread” to represent scripture to the effect, that Jesus is the “Bread of Heaven” (John 6:32-58).
Mark 8:13 shows that they entered into a ship, and went to the “other side”. This caught my attention.
Where they came from, and where they came to is not as significant to me as that they came to the other side.
Much of our lives is coming or going to or from somewhere. We’re not much for sitting still. But how often, when you’re coming or going, do you take the word of God with you?
Now a days, many of us have Bible apps on our phones. The actual Bible book is becoming a relic of sorts. But this isn’t so much my point either.
Access to the Word of God is vital to the believer, it’s how we eat.
God wants to implant the scripture in you so that you will never be caught leaving home without it.

David said: O let me not wander from your commandments. I have hidden your word in my heart, so that I might not sin against you. Ps 119:10 ,11

Psalm 119 is probably the most focused passage to give light to the light of the Word. Maybe at some point I will make “Tidbits” of that passage.
