V2V: Righteousness For Heaven

What is righteousness,
May it be taught or learned?
Is it for pretense,
Or perhaps something earned?

Trying to be good is not the way,
But only by righteousness received.
Heaven can never be earned,
To walk holy by His Spirit do we need.

To desire to please God,
Through a life pleasing to him,
May we strive to become,
Modeled and formed like unto Him.

Those most respected of men,
They shall never be the goal.
For the Kingdom of heaven,
Is not by natural means to behold.
